As parents we all want our children Happy Healthy & Safe.
So with that in mind when we are having fun in the sun or enjoying a great swimming lesson we need to start out with being sanitary.
Before you leave the house make sure you have everything you need for your day out.
Having the correct swim edict in a public swimming pool can help you and your child have a great swim day in & out of the pool with no unexpected rashes, swimmers eye irritation etc.
Accidents in the pool happen of course but to follow some small healthy swimming tips & create a habit of it, it will help avoid these small accidents that can cause pool closures.
Healthy swimming is exactly what we want for our kids.
All infants, those not yet potty trained, will be required to wear the appropriate swimwear to enter the pool.
Example: A disposable swim nappy/diaper and elasticized pants over them to be worn at ALL TIMES.
To Avoid Accidents and pool closures please make sure of the following swimming tips:
- Try to go to the restroom/toilet before entering the pool
- Wear the appropriate fitting swimwear including waterproof diaper/nappy AT ALL TIMES!!!
- Change diapers/nappies regularly when at facilities for long periods of time. Please try to use change rooms, NOT pool side or on picnic tables.
- After diaper/nappy changes, throw out the waste and clean hands before re-entering the pool.
Swimming costumes for infants & swimming nappies/diapers are NOT always available at all swimming facilities. Be sure to bring extra EVERY TIME.
So all the more reason for parents to make sure that you & your child are practicing good healthy swimming habits.
You don’t want to go to the pool & be the reason it is shut down all because you thought it might be “OK” just this time. LOL.
Enjoy yourself, have fun & always encourage a healthy, safe, happy & fun swim.
REMEMBER NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED!!! NO SWIMMING ALONE!!!!
